We invite you to come and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Tiki Hale. The apartment has a front and back sliding entrance so it is private and serene. There is a shared lanai with the owner(s) who are very friendly people. Sit outside at night, tiki torches burning and the sound of coqui frogs singing to your souls content! This is a very relaxing and spacious hale to stay in while seeing all that the Big Island has to offer. Spread out on the one acre lot and enjoy the fresh fruit off the trees (guava, bananas,avocado, lemons and a wide variety of tropical flowers) when they are in season. The kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you need to cook your favorite meals or attempt to cook some Hawaiian delights. The local farmer's markets are abundant with fresh fruits and vegetables that are not only ono (delicious) but surprisingly inexpensive.
We are 11 miles from downtown Hilo (15 minutes from the airport and the University), 6 miles from Pahoa town and less than a 20 minute drive from the current lava flow!
The apartment is light and airy and has two queen beds. Enjoy satellite T.V., wireless internet connection and a local phone line. Water, coffee and sugar are provided.There is a stand up shower - towels and linens are provided.

DEPOSIT: 50% of rental to hold the reservation. $25.00 nonrefundalbe cleaning fee.
REFUND POLICY: If reservations are cancelled before 30 days of arrival we will refund any reservation fees paid minus a $50 processing fee.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIMES: 1 PM and 11 AM We professionally clean each property between bookings. Because of this, check in time is 1:00 PM and check out is by 11:00 AM. Contact us if your plans do not allow for this and we will try to accommodate you if possible. There may me an additional fee required depending on the circumstances.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If reservations are cancelled before 30 days of arrival we will refund any reservation fees paid minus a $50 processing fee. If cancellations are made with less than 30 days notice, full rental fee is still required. WE will do our best to book the same property for the nights that you reserved. If we are successful we will refund your rental fee to you minus a $50 processing fee.
PET POLICIY: No pets. ALL our fees are payable in US funds.
CREDIT CARDS are not yet accepted, however we do accept cash, personal cheques and money orders. IF you are paying by check or money order a deposit of 50% of rental fee is required to reserve a home with the balance paid at least 30 days before arrival. *ASK us about payment policies if you are staying longer than one month.
SECURITY deposits are paid separately. If paid by check, we will not cash the check unless there is damage. If there is no damage we will return your check within ten days of your departure. If you are paying by credit card we will not charge your card unless there is damage. When amount due is paid in full we will send via e-mail or by regular mail additional information and directions to the home. At that time we will provide you with full instructions on how to receive the keys to the property. You agree to hold harmless the home owner from any and all liability, claims, injury, loss, property damage or expenses that may occur during your stay.
**We reserve the right to evict guests for any of the following, but not limited to; violating any house rules, smoking in the homes, excessive noise, occupancy limits, pet provisions or illegal activity. AS a registered guest you are responsible for any damage to the property that is done by you or your guests.
